Porsche Taycan Sumo

Origin of the project

The "Taycan Sumo" was createdon the occasion of the inauguration of the Porsche Zenter Roost (Luxembourg). For this event, Porsche Losch Luxembourg wanted tocreate a unique work of art and called on SUMO (Christian Pearson), a renownedLuxembourg graffiti and street art artist.

A particularly complex creative process

  1. Vehicle Disassembly Process

    For this project, the Porsche Taycan was completely dismantled, including: Doors (interior and exterior), Interior, Rims, Keys.

  2. Painting Techniques Used

    All the pieces were then transported to a secret location, where SUMO painted the entire vehicle for five months, in the colorful and pop style that characterizes his work. The work combined acrylic painting, spraying techniques, and detailed graphic messages such as 'Pull up to my bumper baby' or 'Bomb voyage', typical expressions of SUMO's artistic vocabulary.

  3. Varnishing and Reassembly

    After painting, the Taycan was varnished, sealed, and completely reassembled.

Presentation & Importance

The Taycan Sumo was:

• presented at the opening events of the Porsche Zenter Roost

• unveiled as an official artistic project of Losch Luxembourg

• classified as a real "Art Car", destined to beexhibited at international events

This vehicle represents one of the most ambitious automotive art projects in Luxembourg – SUMO has already produced major works, notably on Luxair aircraft.

First international mention

The international media also reported on the Taycan Sumo:

• The duPont Registry (USA) described it as "one of one Taycan Art Car", the first Taycan ever painted directly on the bodywork.

• Porsche has posted photos and details on social media, highlighting the collaboration with the Porsche Zenter Lëtzebuerg & Roost.
