Second Consecutive Victory: 48 Losch Motorsport by BLACK FALCON Triumphs Again at the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup in Spa
A perfect weekend in the Ardennes: The team 48 Losch Motorsport by BLACK FALCON, usually competing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), has also included the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup at Spa-Francorchamps in its program since last year. The team has now celebrated overall victory there for the second time in a row. After twelve intense hours on the legendary Ardennes rollercoaster, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) car number 48 crossed the finish line first late Saturday evening, securing back-to-back overall wins in the 12-hour GT3 Cup race.
Consistent Performance Leads to a Well-Deserved Win
Under sunny and dry conditions, ideal for racing, the international field of 25 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars started the exciting endurance race. The driver quartet, including Luxembourgers Dylan Pereira and Carlos Rivas, along with Tobias Müller (Germany) and Gabriele Piana (Italy), started from third place and worked their way forward lap by lap.
In the first third of the race, the crew showcased their full class: On lap 65, the Porsche number 48 took the lead for the first time. After a planned pit stop, the team briefly dropped back but reclaimed the lead by lap 91. In the crucial final third, the four drivers remained unfazed by the competition. With consistently fast laps and smart strategy, the Losch crew confidently held the lead and secured their second consecutive victory at Spa with a strong performance.
Frédéric Wantzenrieder, Motorsport Manager at 48 Losch Motorsport by BLACK FALCON, summed up the weekend:“Qualifying was challenging because the car setup was focused on the full twelve-hour race rather than a single fast lap. Combined with the high driving quality of some competitors, this created a tough starting point. However, the race went much better. All four drivers worked perfectly with the car, giving us a clear advantage over the distance. Despite some unfortunate Full-Course Yellow and Safety Car phases, we were able to set the pace and secure the win.”
Driver Reactions to the Success
For the Luxembourg drivers Dylan Pereira and Carlos Rivas, this second triumph at Spa was something special:
Carlos Rivas: “The highlight of the weekend was the podium ceremony when the Luxembourg national anthem was played. Moments like this don’t happen every day in motorsport and make this victory unforgettable.”
Dylan Pereira: “The twelve hours of Spa: my personal first time, and already the second win for Losch and BLACK FALCON. It’s simply amazing. I always really enjoy working with this team and achieving victories. After successes at the 24 Hours of Zolder and the Carrera Cup Asia, winning here again perfectly completes my winning streak. I want to thank Losch, BLACK FALCON, and all the sponsors—without them, this success wouldn’t have been possible.”
No Time to Rest: Next Stop Nürburgring
The successful team barely has time to catch their breath: The next challenge awaits with rounds 7 and 8 of the NLS at the Nürburgring next weekend. Riding high on their momentum from Spa, the 48 Losch Motorsport by BLACK FALCON team returns to their home base highly motivated and aiming for more top results in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie.
